Details about cost and EDC III
Well, I got a lot of question about how to reconize an EDC equiped car.
Since I just bough 2 of them,I toke a picture. I ll leave it in High definition, like this people can see the details.
Basically, all E32 with this kind of Coils are EDC III. an other kind of EDC shocker exist, on the 1990 to 1995, the coils are rectangular, you can actually replace them with the new type.
Part number 31-31-1-138-497 and 31-31-1-138-498.
Since you are here, you really do not want to ignore the hub ... replace it too.
The list price for those shocks are 1250$ each, but you can get them down to 900$
The Hub is around 159$ each, i know it is a lot for a Hub, but you shall not change the EDC shocks without changing his.
I hope it will help people who wanted to know about the cost of the shockers. If you are not in love with your EDC III E32 7serie, do not buy an EDC car ...
